Things are a little different this year. Naturally, this meant that our Christmas party couldn’t go ahead either. So we decided to do some good instead and wanted to support charities close to our hearts. We donated a total of €1,500, which we split between two organisations. In addition, we donated 2,000 of our James masks to social welfare organisations.
Part of the donation, amounting to €750, went to the Hospizverein Pfaffenhofen e.V. This charity supports seriously ill people and their loved ones on their journey towards the end of life. We are very pleased with this decision, as the work carried out here deserves our utmost respect and recognition. In the first picture, you can see our Managing Director, Bernhard Schmidt, presenting the symbolic cheque to the Chairman, Dr André Schneeweiß (Dr jur.) of the Pfaffenhofen Hospice Association.
It has been a turbulent year for all of us, bringing new challenges. Nevertheless, we mustn’t forget that there are plenty of people who have to face far greater challenges. When we handed over the donation of face masks at the start of the year, we were given a glimpse behind the scenes at the Pfaffenhofen Food Bank. The dedication of the volunteers is truly remarkable and made a deep impression on us. That is why we decided to make a contribution here too and symbolically presented a donation of 750 euros to the Association for the Support of the Pfaffenhofen Food Bank (Verein zur Förderung der Pfaffenhofener Tafel e.V.) to the chairman of the association, Dr Hans Kern.
In addition, we donated 1,000 David masks as a donation in kind; Ms Anne Bienlein, the manager of the Pfaffenhofen Food Bank, was also very pleased to receive them. We hope we have been able to make a very small contribution. We donated the other 1,000 ‘David’ masks – both plain and printed – to the old and new Pfaffenhofen Youth Parliament. Matthias Stadler, the town’s youth welfare officer, was delighted to receive them, as can be seen in the third picture.
