Encouraging young talent, bringing technology to life – a school project with Wolnzach Secondary School

Summer is an exciting time in the textile finishing industry. With numerous school-leaving ceremonies, sporting events and the upcoming Euro 2024 football tournament, demand for personalised T-shirts and team kit is higher than ever. At the Nepata Group, we are proud to support this peak season in textile finishing with innovative technology and first-class quality.

With the support of their teacher, Kristina Plößl, the young people experienced the entire DTF (Direct to Film) production process first-hand: from the digital design through to printing and positioning, right up to heat-pressing onto high-quality neutral unisex T-shirts from the YOW! Shop.

The practical session centred on modern machines from our own range: first and foremost the new Secabo TD7 LITE double-plate press, as well as a cross-line laser for precise positioning.

The pupils were accompanied by the Nepata team, consisting of Julia Stowasser (Head of Marketing) and Edwin Kallo (Application Manager). There was great enthusiasm: after a brief induction, the young people worked with a high degree of independence and visible pride on their T-shirts, which they will wear as volunteers at the ‘Lauf 10!’ event in Wolnzach on 12 July 2025. The prints were produced on site – including the sponsor’s logo (WALTRON), the Wolnzach coat of arms and the sporting motto: ‘With the secondary school into the home straight’.

Special thanks go to Ms Wolf, Mayor Jens Machold and Ms Gulden from WALTRON, who not only supported the initiative but also personally oversaw it.

The project demonstrates once again how important the link between schools, business and the local community is for young people’s career guidance. The Nepata Group is delighted to use such initiatives to provide insights and open up new prospects – and perhaps to inspire one or two creative minds for the future of our industry.
